email your zine submissions to mereditharistone@gmail.com to be considered for the Fall 2024 edition "April forever" zine. the THEME IS CONTRAST. that's cryptic, sure, but that's the beauty of it.  we are accepting poems (no more than two pages 12p times new roman font) short nonfiction stories (5k words max) and even shorter fiction stories (1k words max.) also accepting photography - up to 12 images per submitter of anything that you find interesting. you may submit twice in a different genre but not twice in the same.  we embrace work that antagonizes the stigma of shame surrounding mental health issues and rejects conventions of hyper-productivity and normalcy. in other words, the mess is welcomed and encouraged here. some contrast themes to consider for this fall: substance use and sobriety, suburban life vs metropolitan, vulnerability vs being guarded, panic vs calm, beautiful vs ugly - you get the gist.
